More people today recognize the benefits of nurse practitioners and choose them as their primary health care providers. Nurse practitioners treat each patient as an individual and place a strong emphasis on patient education. This patient education makes the patient more aware of what is normal and what may need further evaluation by a practitioner, which not only helps to cut down on unnecessary office visits but also saves money for the patient.
